Visitor visa:
All people planning to holiday/vacation in
Australia must have a visa. This may be a visa label in your passport or,
for certain nationalities, an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is
available.
Business visa:
If you are going to Australia for less than
3 months to conduct business activities, such as attending meetings,
conferences or job interviews, you will need a business visa. The visa
may be in the form of a visa label in your passport or, for certain
nationalities, an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is available.
Passport holders of the
following countries are eligible for ETA:
USA, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, S. Korea,
Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan*, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Rep of Ireland, Italy,
Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal,
San Mario,
Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK-British Citizen
or British National (overseas)**, Vatican City
* Holders of Taiwan passports can only be processed
for an ETA if resident in and applying in Taiwan.
** Holders of UK passports which indicate their nationality to be British
National (Overseas) can only be processed for an ETA if resident in and
applying in Hong Kong.
